Former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Taylor Armstrong may have found her happily ever after, after all. During her three seasons as a Housewife, viewers watched Taylor cope with domestic abuse, financial problems, and what could be considered the most tragic event in franchise history: her ex-husband’s suicide. These days, it seems that things are finally looking up for Taylor and her daughter Kennedy.
Taylor announced her engagement to attorney John Bluher last summer. On Friday, April 4, the happy couple celebrated their nuptials at the Bel Air Bay Club in Pacific Palisades, Ca. Their cliff-top sunset ceremony took place in front of 120 guests, including former co-stars Kyle Richards, Lisa Vanderpump and Faye Resnick.
The 42-year-old bride looked radiant on her special day, donning a strapless, formfitting, ivory gown with intricate embroidery by Chagoury Couture. Taylor wore her long hair down in loose curls with a sparkling headband. She held onto a bouquet of pink and purple peonies, sweet peas, and garden roses made by Studio Fiore as she was escorted down the aisle by her daughter Kennedy.
“It was a simple ceremony, but very beautiful,” an eyewitness told Us Weekly of the special occasion. “Taylor wiped tears from her eyes several times, but she also had many moments where she laughed out loud.”
“Taylor was truly glowing and overcome with emotion,” the insider added of the couple’s nuptials. “She was totally focused on John and looking into his eyes intently. After they repeated their vows, a server brought them each a glass of champagne, which they shared together.”
After Taylor and John repeated their vows they shared a glass of champagne then joined their guests for a cocktail hour in the courtyard. Dinner and dancing followed in the club’s dining room, where the newlyweds slow danced to “I’ll Stand By You” by The Pretenders and Dobie Gray’s “Drift Away” with the help of a live band. Finally, guests were treated to a multi-tiered chocolate cake by Sweet E’s Bake Shop.
“The wedding was really about family and including Kennedy,” the eyewitness added to Us. “As family members gave toasts, they talked about how happy they were for Taylor and Kennedy being able to complete their family with John. It was clear that John adores Kennedy and treats her like his own daughter.”
Those in attendance, including the happy couple, seemed to agree the day was a perfect, magical celebration of Taylor and John’s new life together. According to her groom, “Taylor was beautiful and never stopped smiling! It was an amazing evening, a 10 all ’round.”
“I’m so much happier than I’ve ever been,” Armstrong told E! News at the time about life with Bluher.
Still want more details about Taylor’s big day? Not to worry, the nuptials were filmed for the WE tv series My Fair Wedding with David Tutera. The episode is set to air this summer.
