It’s turtle time, RHONY fans! The Real Housewives of New York City are returning for Season 7 and it looks like we’ll all need to keep plenty of Pinot Grigio on hand for this one. Bethenny is back and joining Ramona, LuAnn, Heather, Carole, Sonja, & Kristen along with newbie Dorinda Medley (more on her below!), and it’s all kicking off in a few short weeks!
The Real Housewives of New York City Season 7 premieres Tuesday, April 7 @ 9pm ET/PT!!
Before we delve into what all the ladies are up to this season, we’ll go ahead and let you take a look for yourself. Behold, the RHONY Season 7 super trailer awesomeness:
I’m officially hooked! April 7 can’t come soon enough!
We can tell there’s plenty of drama (duh!) in store for Season 7 and that some of the women will definitely be butting heads but here’s the scoop on each of the ladies’ story lines this year:
First up, Bethenny! Back after a three season hiatus, fans will see her like never before. She’s struggling with finalizing her divorce while looking for a new place to live, and adjusting to her new role as a single mother.
Ramona is finally opening up about her emotional journey with Mario. They are officially ending their 25-year relationship and apparently Ramona is looking to her longtime friend, Dorinda, for support.
Newbie Dorinda (we’ve got the lowdown on her below!) is also working on moving forward with her life after the passing of her husband over three years ago. We’ll see her in a new relationship with a man her friends and daughter aren’t sure is right for her.
We’ll also see Carole in the dating game this season. She’s involved with a hot younger chef (who it seems also happens to be LuAnn’s niece’s ex?) but will also be dealing with her past this season.
Sonja, who has been frustrated in the past by what she sees as a lack of support for her professional pursuits from the other ladies, is setting out to prove this season that she’s not only a socialite, but a serious businesswoman.
LuAnn is selling her Hamptons home and reexamining the friendships that are not working in her life. And, we may see another flirty vacation scandal involving LuAnn this year–it looks like she’s butting heads with Heather about bringing a mystery man back to their vacay pad!
It sounds like Kristen and Josh are on firmer ground with their marriage this season as Kristen is concentrating on expanding business opportunities.
Never shy to give her opinion or rub people the wrong way, Bravo says Heather was ready to play nice with Bethenny, however it seems the “skinny” on their relationship isn’t quite so “yummie.”
Sounds like everyone will be keeping us on our toes this season! And, if we can assume all of these women will be full-fledged cast members this season that makes for a whopping total of EIGHT HOUSEWIVES! Here’s hoping that means we can expect a long seventh season for RHONY!
Now, back to new addition, Dorinda! Here’s the lowdown on the newest New York Housewife:
Manhattan socialite Dorinda was born in the Berkshires and, after graduating college, got her start in the New York City showrooms at Liz Claiborne. Dorinda moved to London to be with her first husband and started her own cashmere company, DCL Cashmere, with many high-profile London clients like Princess Diana and Joan Collins. After almost ten years in London, she got a divorce, sold her company, and moved to New York City with her daughter, Hannah, to figure out life in the city as a single mom. In 2005, Dorinda met and married Richard Medley, and together they worked on fund-raising for causes with the likes of Desmond Tutu, Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, and Hilary Clinton. After the tragic loss of her beloved Richard, Dorinda and Hannah became each other’s strength through the difficult time and are now closer than ever. She is currently dating John Mahdessian, owner of Madame Paulette, the leading cleaning and restoration establishment of worldwide couture garments in the Upper East Side. Dorinda is always putting her energy and focus into her friends, family, and charity work. She enjoys vacationing and all types of fashion, both high-end and high-street, and considers all of her pieces collector’s items—the glitzier and stylish the better for this true New York City housewife.
