RELEASE THE GOWNS! The Real Housewives of Melbourne are back! Season 3 seems to be promising more drama than ever. “The dynamics have definitely changed with eight women…” says Lydia Schiavello, in reference to newcomer Susie McLean. Formerly married to St. Kilda football club president Rob Butters, the mother of 2 is a true Melbourne socialite. When she’s not horse riding, skiing, baking, boxing or playing golf, she’s presiding over the Toorak branch of the CWA. It certainly sounds like she’ll be an interesting addition to the show!
In a new trailer released exclusively at http://www.arenatv.com.au/videos/the-real-housewives-of-melbourne-season-3-extended-sneak-peek/ (If you live outside of Australia, you may need to use a plug-in such as Hola! to view it.), we get an interesting taste of what’s to come this season. In an interview segment, Jackie describes season 3 as being more in depth and personal, and many of the girls agree. Janet discusses possible health issues, Gina takes care of her aging father, and Jackie cries about past mistakes with Chyka. After a few scenes of the ladies getting together and having a good time, we soon hear them say that the season certainly includes some new drama and “serious catfights.” Who will be at the source of these catfights, I wonder? It’s not long before we find out that Lydia is no longer sitting on the fence this year, and right off the bat seems to be in some sort of spat with Janet. But she’s not the only one. We soon see showdowns between Gina and Pettifleur, Lydia and Chyka, Lydia and Susie, and Gamble and an unknown face!
In flashy transitions, we then learn of old flames, friendships, weddings, and possibly a new baby! Friendships are at their peak when we see the girls take off on a trip to Dubai (coincidentally the same place that RHOBH are going this season!). Camel riding, watersliding, and off-roading all look as fabulous as possible with these women partaking. The source of the old flame and baby are unknown, but of course the wedding that everyone is talking about is between Gamble Breaux and her Wolfie pup! Unsurprisingly, her BFF Gina is seen officiating the gorgeous beachfront event, and a surprising ordeal with the cake is seen leaving Gamble in tears.
In the last bit of the dramatic trailer, Gamble states “Chyka angry is scarier than Gina and Jackie combined.” And we see just that. Insults start flying and screaming begins coming from nearly every one of the women, essentially demonstrating that this is going to be the absolute best season of Melbourne yet.
The Real Housewives of Melbourne Season 3 premieres Sunday, Feb 21 on Arena in Australia, and is TBA on Bravo in the US, but I expect an announcement in the coming weeks!
