After a tumultuous sixth season, The Real Housewives of Atlanta are coming together for their annual sit-down with Andy Cohen and the drama is already heating up! Battle lines have been drawn and the ladies have come prepared and well-equipped for this year’s epic 3-part reunion. Kenya’s got her scepter (because why wouldn’t she?) and a mega-phone stowed in case of emergency, NeNe’s clearly packing her game face, and Porsha…well, let’s just say she’s brought a couple of new additions to introduce to the group.
RHOA Season 6 is on pace to earn the highest ratings in franchise history and if you caught this year’s finale followed by NeNe’s one-on-one with Andy in the WWHL clubhouse, you’ve already gotten a taste of the shocking revelations still to come. When asked which fellow Housewife should get the Season 7 ax, NeNe alluded to none other than her formerly close friend Cynthia Bailey. It seems the rift that developed between these two this season has only widened as a result of the reunion. What’s more, NeNe would actually prefer Kenya to stick around next season over Cynthia! Eesh.
Of course, we are also anxiously awaiting the epic Porsha vs Kenya hair-pulling reunion brawl that’s been all the buzz since the taping. And, it sounds like we may not have wait long if Bravo’s description of the three-part reunion is any indication. Here’s how they break it down:
During Part I of the reunion on Sunday, April 20 at 8pm ET/PT, the ladies come together for the first time in a while to reveal what’s new in their lives and to discuss some of the drama revolving around Kenya this season. Plus, the ongoing tension between Porsha and Kenya takes center stage. Andy then sits down with Porsha one-on-one, which results in a surprising turn of events.
In Reunion Part II, airing on Sunday, April 27 at 8pm ET/PT, the ladies discuss the Porsha vs. Kenya aftermath. Momma Joyce joins the women to reflect on the drama from this season and where she stands with her opinion of Kandi and Todd’s relationship. Cynthia and NeNe also hash out their issues from this season, which leads to an unexpected outcome.
During a 90-minute Part III of the reunion on Sunday, May 4 at 8pm ET/PT, Apollo joins the women to address rumors about him and Phaedra and his alleged run in with the law. NeNe and Kenya go head-to-head in a battle of the titans, plus, the rest of the husbands join the mix to offer their thoughts on all of the ups and downs of this season.
Seems to me that Porsha and Kenya are getting into it right off the bat in Part I. We still can’t be totally sure what exactly went down during that infamous incident, or if producers will opt to show every unflattering detail…but we shall watch and see! Bravo did release a reunion preview which shows some of the confrontation. Unfortunately, the version released online is a shorter and less graphic version than what aired last night after the finale but you get the idea:
Lucky for us, Bravo isn’t stopping there when it comes to giving viewers a look at the highly anticipated reunion. They’ve shared a few more clips detailing everything from the Housewives’ reunion fashion choices to their biggest regrets this season and even who they’d pick to play themselves in a Housewives movie:
Looks like we’re in store for plenty of laughs, a healthy dose of shade and most definitely several hours worth of good, old-fashioned Atlanta Housewives entertainment. So, even though we are saying goodbye to Season 6 this week, we can look forward to three weeks of reunion awesomess followed by an additional “secrets revealed” episode. And then, of course, we already know that Season 7 has been ordered so the whole wonderful mess will start all over again in only a matter of months (as soon as fall 2014!) In the mean time, I’ll share with you all a few more photos depicting our favorite Atlanta ladies (and gents) in the heat of the many dramatic moments from the RHOA Season 6 Reunion:
So, will you be tuning in to catch all the reunion drama unfold? Who/what are you most looking forward to?
