However, it was revealed during the third part of the Vanderpump Rules reunion show that while the divorce proceedings were underway, it had yet to be finalized.
Typically, in Cali, it takes anywhere from 6 – 8 months for a divorce to become final, and the divorce proceedings had only been under way for 3 months by the time the reunion show was being filmed.
Well, now the divorce is final, and the assets were split up between the couple:
Scheana Shay’s Divorce Assets:
- $31,000 retirement fund.
- $1,000 bank account.
- 2009 Nissan Altima.
- 2016 Ford Explorer.
Mike Shay’s Divorce Assets:
- 2005 GMC Sierra
Well, it looks like Scheana scored herself the newer vehicles, and a nice little retirement fund. However, she probably still owes money on the Explorer, and those certainly aren’t cheap.
As for Shay, he got himself $50k, plus an ’05 GMC Sierra that’s undoubtedly been paid for. In other words, he escaped with a large sum of cash, and no vehicle payments.
So, why didn’t Scheana want to give Mike the $50,000? Well, according to her, she didn’t want to hook him up with a large sum of cash all at once, because she thinks he would blow through the money on drugs.
Scheana has stated before that Mike is an alcoholic, and abuses marijuana, adderall, and opiates.
Still, Scheana forked over the $50k, which I’m sure won’t be much of a problem for her.
After all, Mike is out of the picture, and Scheana will be able to recoup her losses by participating on Vanderpump Rules season 6.
Now, with Mike out of the picture, Scheana has since moved on with her love life, and has a boyfriend that she’s constantly showing off on her Instagram page.
Speaking of which, inspired by the fact that Stassi Schroeder’s boyfriend, Patrick Meagher, is finally getting a spot on Vanderpump Rules, Scheana is trying to get her new man, Robert Valletta, on the show, as well.
Whether or not that will happen is hard to say, but Scheana loves storylines, and trying to cement her spot on #PumpRules, so you can bet she’s pushing hard for it to happen.
