The Real Housewives of Atlanta star, Kandi Burruss, recently posted a video of her holding her four-month-old son, Ace Wells, on the toilet in an attempt to get her son potty trained.
Granted, it’s up to the parent as to how they want to potty train their children, but as you can imagine, a lot of people started to have some parenting debates over the whole issue.
Some parents said that kids simply aren’t going to become potty trained until … well… they feel like it. Plus, at only four months old, it’s not like little Ace can climb up on the toilet himself, anyways.
However, Kandi disagrees and says that you just have to give your kid a helping hand, and that by lifting them up on the toilet to go potty, they’ll actually become potty trained much faster.
Fans weren’t the only ones to get involved, as Whoopi Goldberg and Jimmy Kimmel shared their opinions on the whole situation. Whoopi basically said that she doesn’t agree with potty training a child that young, while Kimmel said that no one should be “taking advice from a Housewife.”
Kandi took to her Twitter account to share her response:
