The Real Housewives of Orange County star, Heather Dubrow, and her husband, Botched star, Terry Dubrow, may want to hold off on moving into that new mansion until the verdict comes back on a lawsuit they’re involved in.
So, why are Heather and Terry being sued?
The Dubrows are saying that a few years back, they were approached by their accountant and a friend of the accountants, whom was an attorney by the name of Steve Czik. These two came up to the couple with an investment opportunity that was foolproof. They said that they knew a woman who needed some rental property, yada yada.
Now, I think we all know exactly where this is going. When something is too good to be true — it usually is.
The accountant and his lawyer buddy, Steve, convinced the Dubrows that if they invested $1.75 million in this little business venture, that they’d see a massive return of profit. The accountant and lawyer were so confident, in fact, that they said that they would even be willing to guarantee the loan’s success.
Bottom line, the Dubrows never got their investment money back, and certainly didn’t see any profits. Also, their accountant and Czik never made good on their guarantee, so the Dubrows said the heck with it, and decided to sue all three of them.
Here’s where the whole extortion part comes in…
Attorney, Steve Czik is claiming that the Dubrows were less than nice to him, and that he received threatening emails from them, warning him:
“Your photo will be published in every magazine and all over Instagram if you don’t pay us. How fu***ing stupid are you?”
They also went on to call him a:
“lying scum sucking as*h*l*e.”
At this time, Czik files a lawsuit for extortion and harassment.
To be fair, though, if someone owed me $1.75 million bucks, that’d probably be the nicest thing towards them that came out of my mouth.
