Alright Housewives fans, your moment has come! Today, Bravo announced the debut of the “Real Housewives Awards” which gives all of us a chance to make our opinions known and voices heard. And, trust me, this is going to be SO MUCH FUN!!! The RHAs (as I’m calling them) are a true celebration of Housewives greatness, dedicated to honoring the most unforgettable, dramatic, and buzzed-about moments from recent seasons.
So, how does it work?
Fans can visit bravotv.com/rhawards or access the Bravo Now app until March 21 to vote for their favorites in a variety of categories from Party of the Year to Most Shocking Reunion Moment. Here’s a look at the contest home page:
Each of those bubbles is a link to the individual voting pages. For each of the categories, Bravo has put together a hilarious montage of the nominees in action. Watch the video, scroll down and vote for your favorite. Then, move on to the next category. It takes a few minutes to get through the whole thing (and what’s most annoying is you have to watch the SAME AD before each category video will play), but each video is awesome enough to make it worth your while.
Once you’ve cast your vote in each category, feel free to do it again! Vote early and often; the polls close at 12pm ET on March 21.
Be sure to also check out all the newly created retrospective photo and video galleries which will reminisce about the greatest one-liners, zingers and digs in the franchises’ history — including sharable memes and some of Bravo’s favorite Housewives photos of all time. Digital content from seasons past will also be available to help fans get their fix including “Before They Were Housewives” photo galleries, grand house and closet tours, and the best quotes and taglines to ever grace the small screen. Additionally, fans can re-live some of the buzziest nominated moments in two special marathons airing on Saturday, February 15 from 8am-2pm and March 22 at 8am-2pm.
Here’s the full list of categories, including one non-voting category and one you have to head to Facebook for:
· Most Memorable Outfit
· Most Shocking Reunion Twist
· Loveliest Locks (Sponsored by Suave Professionals Natural Infusion)
· Best Fight Locale
· Rookie of the Year
· Best Supporting Agitator
· Party of the Year
· Favorite Quote
· OMG-est Moment of the Year
· Outstanding Achievement in Extremely Short Form Live Action (These ones are GIFs)
· Lifetime Achievement Award (Non-voting category)
· Favorite Housewife City – Launched exclusively on Facebook, vote by liking and sharing the images on Facebook here.
The Lifetime Achievement Award will be announced on March 20 by Andy Cohen during a hosted first look of “The Real Housewives of New York City” at 8:45pm ET/PT. The remaining winners will be revealed on March 23 throughout Bravo’s Sunday night lineup with the last two categories announced live on that evening’s episode of “Watch What Happens Live” airing at 11pm ET/PT. All of the winners will also be featured on BravoTV.com and announced on Facebook and Twitter.
Didn’t I say this would be fun?! The only thing that could make the RHAs better is if Bravo hosted an actual awards ceremony so we could watch all our favorite Housewives walk the red carpet. I’m sure we’d get some pretty entertaining acceptance speeches and plenty of shade throwing, too! Maybe next year…
