1/14/14 UPDATE: We have a premiere date! The People’s Couch will air Monday, March 10 at 11:30pm.
After a three-episode test run in October, Bravo has greenlit The People’s Couch for a full 12-episode series run, set to air in March 2014. Here’s what the network had to say:
What happens when TV watches you? You’re about to find out again: Bravo is thrilled to announce The People’s Couch will be coming back to the airwaves next year. Our social series will return for a 12-episode run in March.
The People’s Couch goes into households around the country to watch their reactions to the buzziest, most OMG moments from TV that week. Each group of viewers will bring their hilarious, unique commentary about TV’s hottest shows, from the Housewives to those beyond the Bravo fold. The People’s Couch is based on the UK hit Gogglebox and has also seen successful editions in China, Ukraine and Denmark.
The shows aren’t the only thing that’s had people talking about The People’s Couch. During it’s three-episode run in October, we were reintroduced to a familiar child star: Full House‘s Blake McIver Ewing, who played Michelle Tanner’s friend Derek Boyd. Shahs of Sunset stars Reza Farahan, Asa Soltan Rahmati, and Mike Shouhed also sat in for a guest appearance.
But wait! Bravo forgot to mention one of Bravo Watch’s favorite Bravolebrity couples who also made guest appearances! I recently had the chance to catch up with Tina Sugandh of Newlyweds: The First Year and asked her about her appearance (with Tarz and baby Tarzie, of course) on The People’s Couch. She also played coy about the chances of seeing the family Tarzina back on Bravo anytime soon but said that we surely haven’t seen the last of them, yet! Perhaps they’ll be making more appearances when The People’s Couch returns to Bravo?
