Bravo Announces Two NEW Real Housewives Shows!

This post was contributed by our beloved BravoWatch fan, Kyle Korchak! Thanks Kyle!

In an unexpected move, officials at Bravo confirmed two new additions to the beloved Real Housewives franchise. Described as “elite destinations,” Housewives will take us to an ultra-affluent suburb of D.C. as well as one of the most iconic cities of the Deep South. These cities are as much of a character as the unique women who live in them. You heard right, The Real Housewives of Potomac and The Real Housewives of Dallas are coming to a screen near you in 2016.

The Real Housewives of Potomac will take us to one of Maryland’s best-kept (and wealthiest) secrets. The series will follow the opulent lives of six African-American women, fabulous mothers and wives, as they try to keep up with an exclusive, high class social circle. We’ll get a birds eye view of what it’s like to try to get on top of a society where, as Bravo puts it, “entry is granted only through class, pedigree, and lineage.” The six glamorous women include Gizelle Bryant, Katie Rost, Karen Huger, Charisse Jackson-Jordan, Robyn Dixon, and Ashley Darby. You can check out a preview of the series and read the cast bios at Bravo’s official page for The Real Housewives of Potomac.

The Real Housewives of Potomac premieres Sunday Jan 17 at 9/8c, after The Real Housewives of Atlanta.

Yee-Haw! The second new addition to the Housewives franchise is taking us down south, all the way to Texas. As the saying goes, everything is bigger in Texas, and I’d be willing to bet that includes the drama. The Real Housewives of Dallas will follow a group of southern women as they try to make their way to the top of the social scene in this historic city. We’ll get to see southern parties, southern fashion, southern accents, and southern egos, all promising to be larger than life. The cast and premiere date have not been announced yet, but RHOD is expected to premiere later in 2016!

Andy Cohen will serve as Executive Producer on both shows. True Entertainment, the production company for RHOA, will also be producing RHOP.

What do you think about this expansion? Are you excited for Potomac and Dallas? Let us know what you think in the comments and in our new Bravo forums!
