There’s no doubt that Bethenny could be considered a workaholic. After all, chick’s been insanely busy trying to manage her time with The Real Housewives of New York City, her divorce with Jason Hoppy, and of course, Skinnygirl.
At first, Bethenny thought that she was feeling tired, because, well, she works her butt off. However, once she started having some majorly intense cramping pains, and pelvic bleeding, she was sent to the emergency room.
After a sonogram, she was diagnosed with a uterine fibroid condition, and it needed some serious medical attention. All this happened back in 2013, and Bethenny thinks that it may have been what caused her miscarriage. 😥
I’d lost ten percent of my blood, my uterus had doubled in size and my fibroids had grown larger. I was scared. I think it caused my miscarriage.
When all this went down back in 2013, Bethenny was diagnosed with non-cancerous fibroids. At first, she kept the whole issue out of the spotlight, and never let it spill into the lens of the camera.
Back in 2012, Bethenny was pregnant with a child, but it only lasted for eight weeks before she ended up having a miscarriage. At the time, she had no clue what was going on, but now she credits the miscarriage to her fibroid condition.
On the past season of #RHONY, it was crazy how things were going downhill for Bethenny as far as her health was concerned. As her deteriorating health became an issue, it was of course touched upon on the show, and now Bethenny is opening up about everything.
No one really talks about them. I didn’t realize how many people have them. It’s still something women don’t share.
Bethenny went on to say that she had to have the fibroids removed via surgery, and that some of them were as big as softballs:
It was extremely painful. I slept in bed for like a week. And I focused on getting healthy, drinking green juices and eating a lot of bright-colored foods so I could help myself heal as fast as possible. You know, just trying not to have a BLT be the first thing I eat.
However, Bethenny did say that she’s now in a much better spot as far as her life is concerned:
I feel really good. I look forward to walking on the beach. I’m in a really happy place right now. It was, overall, a very enlightening experience.
It’s extremely unfortunate, all the stuff that this woman has went through. However, we are very glad to see that her quality of life has definitely improved!
