Bethenny Frankel returned to The Real Housewives of New York City back in 2014 after taking three years off, but it looks like she may be ready to peace out again, as she’s stated that she’s “distancing herself from the show.”
Frankel says that the show is a lot of work, and she’s glad people are enjoying the season, but she’s busy enjoying life without the cameras:
It was a long year. It’s definitely work. … This is just a summer of freedom. … I’m glad that the audience is enjoying [the show], but I left it behind.
Frankel says that despite the hard work of being constantly filmed by Bravo cameras, she’s actually proud of this season, and glad she returned back in 2014:
I’m really glad I came back. I’m really proud of the show this season and I really do care about and respect most of the women that are on this show.
However, as we all know, Bethenny isn’t exactly the lovey dovey cast member type.
Instead, she usually finds herself right in the middle of the drama, and she doesn’t give a damn what any of her cast mates think about her.
Therefore, it’s no surprise that she admitted that this season’s reunion was extremely difficult for her:
It was very, very negative and I didn’t enjoy it at all. Something very dramatic happened … that questioned my integrity. If someone questions my business or my integrity I take it really seriously.
It’s been reported that Bethenny actually breaks down crying during the taping of the reunion, after being shown a montage of bitchy Bethenny moments. Apparently, she had no idea that she was so hateful.
With the reunion being so draining on her, Bethenny admits that she’s considering quitting The Real Housewives of New York City:
I live my life honestly. You have 50 percent of the cast that has a whole taboo, police line, ‘do not cross’ section of their life that is not discussed on camera and never has been. For legal issues and liability issues, Bravo doesn’t need to bring it up and it’s a difficult line to ride, and that may be why I don’t come back.
Bethenny has a radio show on Sirius XM, she has her own production company, and of course, she has Skinnygirl. That being said, she has plenty of stuff on her plate to keep her busy:
I’m doing what I want to do and definitely making some changes in my personal and professional life, and deciding kind of how to line up all the pieces on the board in the fall. I have a lot of different businesses and business decisions to make.
Also, Bethenny recently finalized her 4-year-long divorce nightmare from ex-husband Jason Hoppy, and it looks like she could be ready to start a new chapter of her life.
Still, things are about to get hectic tonight on the latest episode of The Real Housewives of New York City, as Bethenny says she’s about to unload a bombshell on LuAnn De Lesseps — claiming she has some evidence that could destroy LuAnn’s engagement to Tom D’Agostino.
This will be an episode not to miss, Bravoholics.
